Dr. Kathleen Coupland
Dr. Kathleen Coupland is the developer and instructor of the LLFM program with support from colleagues in the Faculty of Forestry. Kathleen is a registered professional forester in British Columbia and has a PhD focusing of forestry education. She is currently the Coordinator of the Master of Geomatics for Environmental Management Program and a Post-Doctoral Fellow. Her current research revolves around modeling how different forest management regimes can impact carbon storage and sequestration while constraining the model to meet biodiversity metrics. Kathleen has worked with a variety of different landscape level models including Patchworks, WS3 and FPS-Atlas in addition to building workflow to streamline the collection of the input data.
